Welcome To Palestinian Womens Research & Documentation Center
The Palestinian Women`s Research and Documentation Center (PWRDC) was founded in 2005 as a Special Project of the Social and Human Science Sector (SHS) of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and operates in accordance with UNESCO`s rules and regulations. The PWRDC meets the urgent need for an institution capable of promoting women`s rights and activating Palestinian women`s roles in economic, political, and cultural domains.

تم تأسيس مركز المرأة الفلسطينية للأبحاث والتوثيق سنة 2005 كأحد مشاريع قطاع العلوم الإنسانية والإجتماعية لمنظمة الأمم المتحدة للتربية والعلوم والثقافة اليونسكو. ويعمل المركز وفق قوانين وأنظمة اليونسكو. المركز يستجيب للحاجة الماسة لوجود مؤسسة قادرة على ترسيخ حقوق المرأة والنهوض بها، وتفعيل دور النساء الفلسطينيات في الحياة الإقتصادية والإجتماعية والسياسية

(PWRDC)
Structure
The PWRDC is comprised of a governing board of directors, a secretariat and advisory scientific committees. Its work is managed by an Executive Director and a staff of qualified employees. The board of directors is appointed for a period of two (2) years to supervise the work of the Center, and is comprised of representatives from UNESCO, the Ministry of Women's Affairs, the Legislative Council, women's organizations, and the research and academic community at national and international levels. Scientific committees may help design, review, and evaluate the Center's programs, projects, and publications.
Target Groups
The PWRDC offers its services and transmits its message to all sectors within Palestinian society and the following sectors in particular:
- Researchers and research organizations;
- Leaders and members of women’s organizations;
- Human rights organizations;
- Government agencies;
- University and college students.
